## Role in developmental screening

Provides well-child care in a pediatric or family medicine practice. Conducts standardized developmental screening at AAP Bright Futures intervals (9, 18, and 30 months) and refers families to early intervention or specialty care when concerns surface. Balances thoroughness with appointment time constraints.

**Ages served:** Children ages 0-5 at AAP Bright Futures well-child intervals.

## Role in social-emotional screening

Provides well-child care and incorporates social-emotional screening at AAP Bright Futures intervals, alongside maternal depression screening at the 1, 2, 4, and 6 month visits. Refers when SE concerns or risk factors emerge.

**Ages served:** Children ages 0-5 plus parental mental health screening at early well-child visits.
