# Early Intervention / Child Find Intake Coordinator

## Role in developmental screening

Receives referrals from pediatricians, child care providers, parents, or CAPTA cases and conducts the initial developmental screening that determines whether a child is eligible for IDEA Part C (0-3) or Part B (3-5) services. Coordinates the intake pipeline, schedules evaluations, and manages reporting to state EI agencies.

**Ages served:** Children ages 0-3 (IDEA Part C) and 3-5 (Part B preschool special education) at the point of EI / Child Find intake.

## Role in social-emotional screening

Receives referrals into Early Intervention or Part B preschool special education and conducts initial social-emotional screening as part of the eligibility evaluation, alongside developmental screening. Coordinates referrals to mental health services when SE concerns surface.

**Ages served:** Children ages 0-3 (IDEA Part C) and 3-5 (Part B) at the point of EI / Child Find intake.
