The 5th Invitational Symposium of
International ASQ Researchers
As a dedicated ASQfi researcher, youre invited to present at ASQ
Around the Worlda unique opportunity to network, share in
international ASQ research, and gain valuable insights into using the
Ages & Stages Questionnairesfi product suite to enhance the lives of
children and families across cultures. Enjoy a weekend of learning
and innovation through presentations, talks with ASQ developers,
and interactive roundtable discussions with other attendees.
Topics will include:
- Cultural and linguistic adaptations
- Developing norms for different populations
- Implementation practices and follow-up
- Family engagement, including culturally inclusive practices
- Developing a system for online screening

- Complete the RSVP form by May 15. Youll be asked to provide a description of your topic and choose how youd like to participate: through a poster presentation, or a 30- or 60-minute presentation.
- Submit your presentation (in PowerPoint format) or poster (in an editable file format) on or before July 1 to Erin Hoskins
([email protected]) at Brookes Publishing. - Look for an email from us around June 6. Well confirm the length
of your presentation and send you a preliminary agenda. - Book your room at the Lisbon Marriott by August 18. We have
reserved a block of rooms for our attendees at a discounted rate.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are my options for participating in the Symposium?
Attendees can participate through one or both of the following:
(1) presenting a poster or (2) giving a 30- or 60-minute
presentation.
In which language(s) will the Symposium be presented?
The Symposium will be presented in English. Attendees are
welcome to bring their own translator at no additional cost.
How much does it cost to attend the Symposium?
There is no registration fee for attending the Symposium as a
presenter. Attendees are responsible for their own travel costs,
including airfare and accommodation.
How long is the Symposium?
The Symposium begins on Friday evening, runs all day Saturday,
and ends with a half day on Sunday.
Are guests permitted?
Yesyou may bring a colleague or translator to participate in
your presentation or poster at the Symposium at no additional
cost. Guests who will not participate in a presentation or poster
at the Symposium are also welcome to attend; a guest
attendance fee may be incurred (please email Erin Hoskins
([email protected]) for information).
Will presenting my work at the Symposium restrict me from publishing it elsewhere?
No. Although your presentation will be included in a digital folder with the other presentations, this
posting will not constitute publication or otherwise restrict your ability to use your content for
journals or other publishing activities. The digital folder will be disseminated to other attendees to
support their work and facilitate ongoing conversations.
Where is the hotel located?
The Lisbon Marriott is conveniently located in the heart of scenic Lisbon, a ten-minute drive from Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS). It is close to local places of interest, including the Lisbon Zoo, the Vasco da Gama Aquarium, The Gulbenkian Museum, and the Lisbon Oceanarium.
How do I book a room in the hotel block?
You can book your hotel room at this link. Heres some important information to keep in mind:
- If you are traveling with a colleague and are sharing a room, you will need to request a room with two beds at the time of booking. Rooms with two beds are available on a first come, first served basis, so be sure to book these as soon as possible. You will be able to book a room up until August 18, 2025. You can cancel your booking at no charge up until August 18, 2025. On August 19, 2025, your credit card will be charged by the hotel with the cost of your entire stay (room rate for each night plus applicable taxes) and will be non-refundable.
Will meals be provided?
Breakfast is included with your hotel reservation at the Lisbon Marriott when booked with the provided link. A complimentary light dinner will be provided during our Friday evening reception. Lunch and snacks will be provided on Saturday and Sunday.
What if I have to cancel?
If you are unable to attend the Symposium after accepting the invitation, notify Erin Hoskins by email no later than August 5. If you paid to register as a non-participating guest, a partial refund will be issued. No refunds will be available after August 5, but you may request to send a substitute. Substitutes must submit a completed RSVP Form at least 10 business days before the Symposium.
The hotel reservation may be cancelled at no charge through August 18. Starting on August 19, the full amount of your stay will be charged to your credit card by the hotel and is non-refundable.
