## SNAPSHOT SUMMARY

### Ages & Stages Questionnaires®, Third Edition (ASQ-3) and Ages & Stages Questionnaires®: Social-Emotional, Second Edition (ASQ:SE-2)

Thank you for partnering with us to ensure that we have the most accurate and relevant information possible as we strive to support your child and make instructional decisions using the information you have shared. Screening provides an opportunity to celebrate your child’s strengths and learn more about key milestones, as well as to catch areas early on where more support may be needed. Below is a summary of your child’s scores and a scale that provides more information about your child’s development. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the school.

### ASQ-3

| Focuses on your child's development in five areas. | Interpretation |
| --- | --- |
| Communication: Your child's language skills - both what your child understands and what they can say. | |
| Gross Motor: Your child's use of their arms, legs, and other large muscles for sitting, crawling, walking, running and other activities. | |
| Fine Motor: Your child's hand and finger movement and coordination for picking up and holding objects, drawing and writing. | |
| Problem-solving: Your child's skills in playing with toys and solving problems. | |
| Personal-Social: Your child's skills in self-help and interacting with others. | |

### ASQ-3 Score Explanation and Recommendations

- **Above target**: If your child’s score is above the target score, current supports will be maintained.
- **Close to target**: If your child’s score is on or close to the target score, current support is adequate and will be monitored. Consider trying the fun and easy activities listed at the bottom of this page to encourage your child’s healthy development.
- **Below target**: If your child’s score is below the target score, additional supports may be needed. A score that is below the target should not cause immediate concern or stress. It may simply identify an area where together we can find ways to give your child additional support and opportunities to grow.

### ASQ:SE-2

| Focuses on your child's social and emotional behavior. | |
