If a child is already receiving therapies through early intervention, use of a screening tool like ASQ-3 is not needed. A curriculum-based assessment tool can be used to determine a child’s current level of functioning, identify goals, and monitor progress. Examples of curriculum-based assessments include the [Assessment, Evaluation, and Programming System for Infant and Children, Second Edition (AEPS®)](http://www.aepsinteractive.com/), [The DATA Model](http://products.brookespublishing.com/The-DATA-Model-for-Teaching-Preschoolers-with-Autism-P992.aspx), [Teaching Strategies GOLD, The Carolina Curriculum](http://www.brookespublishing.com/resource-center/screening-and-assessment/the-carolina-curriculum/), and Hawaii Early Learning Profile (HELP).
